Town Girls U15s - Match Report
Oh Yes Its Been Coming !
(Chris Jennings 16/04/2018)
3 Frodsham JFC Town Girls U15s
2 Lymn
(Match Date: Saturday 14th April 2018)
Finally the girls, 11 of them , finally got the reward for all the hard work over the last couple of weeks in particular. The formation and positions are finally becoming more settled (they do when everyone turns up) .With the girls going behind it looked like it was the same old story but the girls never gave up and MA was sent clean throw and to be honest out ran the defence and had plenty of time to take th ball closer but took and early shot to make honours even before half time. A special mention for MC who nearly broke the GK wrist with two belters from outside the area resulting in the GK coming on pitch with her wrist strapped up. As the half went on ML , having her best game for the club this season started to find team mates pass after pass and eventaully created an opening for a superb strike by EC. In the second haf it was nearly one way traffic but after 3 claims eventually a penalty was awarded and this time MC took it but due a 'replacing of the ball ' (blamed on the coaches) the ball was moved and over the bar it went. 3 minutes OS and MC was so angry by the miss together they hunted down the opposition and MC stuck from wide on the left into the bottom right hand corner.
Madly the girls allowed the previous GK to carry out raking run down the right flank to shoot from far out and score a craker to leave us all a nervous last 10 mins until ES pulled off one final reflex save and then we knew it was going to be our day. Well done girs and GoD MA
